Meet the Trainers
Chris KingChris began his fitness journey in High School with swimming and water polo. Weight training and sports conditioning were a large part of these sports and he was a lifeguard and taught swim lessons. He attended University of Utah and skied for the Snowbird Mogul Team, which was instructed by world class expert mogul skiers.
Chris came back seriously into weight training after meeting his wife and business partner Shannan King. Chris was an art teacher for 25 years, so teaching group fitness classes and working with individual fitness needs came naturally. Chris strives to help you improve mobility in everyday gravity and feels functional fitness training is a good transition to traditional weight training programs. Weight bearing activities have been scientifically shown to help with insulin resistance, bone density benefits, hormonal balance, aging resistance and retained mobility. Chris also says that age functionality is not just about movement and weight bearing exercise, diet is also an essential piece in order to progress in personal health. Keep nutrition in mind as you are progressing in your fitness journey, this is essential to maintain body health & overall wellness. ISSA Certified Personal Trainer; CPR certified |
